The year kicks off in April with the Big Mountain Trail Run in Cheyenne Canon which will help prepare you for the epic Pikes Peak Adventure Race in June.
The sport is for athletes, triathletes, adrenaline junkies, weekend warriors, outdoor lovers,
healthy people, curious people, and more! Adventure races can be quite challenging and

Adventure racing demands strength,
courage, intelligence, organization, commitment, speed, teamwork, endurance, and some level of
proficiency in many disciplines. These aspects attract
athletes who cross over from sports such as running, cycling, mountain biking, triathlons, and paddling.
Adventure races offer the opportunity to focus on teamwork and to try new sports and activities such as
orienteering, rope events, or even rock climbing.
An adventure race typically involves three or more disciplines which may include
trail running and trekking, mountain biking, paddling, orienteering and navigation, secret challenges,
and rope events such as rappels, tyrolean traverses, ascending, slack
lines, and zip lines. Teams as well as solo athletes compete in the open wilderness - sometimes
in an urban setting - relying on teammates and what can be carried on one's own back. Problem solving skills
are exercised with a group of friends while being challenged both mentally and physically.
Adventure Races can be extreme or they can be easier but fun. While Adventure Races are challenging, our sporting events are open to both elite
teams and single athletes as well as casual adventurers, families, and weekend warriors.
Our purpose is to help provide both fun and challenging activities in the Colorado Rockies primarily in the front range!
While we focus on quality and depth of your experience, our goal is to keep costs low in order
to keep the events accessible to everyone.
