About Big Mountain Adventure
Big Mountain Adventure, LLC was created by group
of highly motivated, adventure seeking, multi-sport athletes to provide the
Colorado Front Range with adventure races, training, and other adventure and sporting events.
We conduct adventure races and other adventure events under Big Mountain Adventure, LLC and also race as the team
Big Mountain Adventure Racing. We have 24 years of collective and diversified adventure racing experience and decades of athletic experience to help
make your and our adventures a reality. This website services both entities and will provide up to date information regarding both the event company as
well as the adventure racing team.
We support "green" companies and believe in the preservation of
our wonderful home and all wild places. We have a goal of upholding what we call
Big Mountain Adventure Racing for the Environment (BMARE, pronounced 'be merry').
Our Mission: To provide fun and challenging outdoor events and grow the sport of adventure racing.
Our Objectives:
- Keep the costs for participants as low as reasonably possible
- Run events in a sustainable and 'green' manner
- Motivate participants to utilize, grow with, and respect the environment
- Be proactive in growing the sport of adventure racing
- Offer a variety of events each year
- Provide training to newer participants and a sense of community for both long time and new racers
- Highlight the communities in which events are held, promoting them as the outdoor recreation destinations they are.
